Hello!

I am a software developer and project manager based in Austin, TX with ten years of experience creating and maintaining internet sites and applications. Over the years, I’ve done work for Apple, Microsoft, Intel, Sony, Nike, Macromedia, and the US Navy — as well as Austin-based companies like KUT-FM, Creatures, Blu African catering, and the Texas Rollergirls.

I like collaboration, because I think it’s more fun, and it results in a better project. I’m also good with the “go away and get this done” strategy.

I’m a fan and advocate of the open source movement: Apache, Perl, MySQL, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS. I’ve used these technologies extensively. For the last three years, I’ve been concentrating on Ruby on Rails. (I rewrote KUT-FM’s site from the ground up in RoR.) I have fairly deep experience with Flash and ActionScript as well.

When I’m being irresponsible and loud, I run this band.
